Shrenu Parikh, who is presently seen in the role of Goddess Parvati/Sati in Sony SAB’s mythological offering, Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey, is happy with the arrival of the festival of colours, and wants to spend quality time with her husband and family. As we know, Shrenu is married to actor Akshay Mhatre, who was seen in Mere Sai.
Shrenu looks for happy moments with her family, and that’s what she aims to do this Holi. Talking about the significance of Holi, Shrenu tells us, “For me, the significance of the festival is the victory of goodness over evil.”
Ask her about the funniest prank she has seen being pulled out during Holi, she says, “When I was a kid, I was thrown with an egg by a few strangers, saying ‘Bura Na Maano Holi Hai!”
On the easy target for her if she were a Holi water balloon on the occasion, she does not mince words by saying, “It’s Holi, and definitely my target will be my husband.”
Ask her whether she would wear a crisp white attire that’s doomed to turn rainbow or play it safe in your oldest dark t-shirt, Shrenu says, “I come from a household where Holi is meant to be celebrated wearing old, worn-out clothes so they can be thrown! But with time and, of course, the field that I’m in, even I’ve started wearing nice crisp white clothes.”
She goes on to talk about her preferred style quotient to play with colours, “If you ask about my styling, I prefer Lucknowi Kurtis on the day.”
Her favourite Holi songs will be “Rang Barse Bheege Chunar Waali and Balam Pichkari.”
Her plan for this year’s Holi is “To spend time with my family and, of course, being engrossed with her shoot on set.”
Here’s wishing one and all a cheerful and colourful Holi!!
