A little while back, we had written about the breakup between Kaleerein actor, Arjit Taneja and his TV-turned-film actor girlfriend, Mrunal Thakur (she will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan, in Super 30, directed by Vikas Bahl).
Social media chatter pinned the blame of the breakup on Arjit’s growing chemistry with Kaleerein co-star, Aditi Sharma. Another reason suggested was that chasms always develop when one actor grows too big.
Being fair journalists, we also decided to touch base with Aditi to find out her take on the whole thing. BTW, Kaleerein is on its way out.
“I really don’t know about the relationship/breakup between Arjit and his ex, for when we first met, he described himself as single. And I don’t interfere in the personal lives of others, unless they themselves want to talk about it.”
She further rubbished any idea of a linkup with Arjit. “There never was and never can be. I have always respected him as a senior artist, no matter what. We are just good friends and co-actors. I have come here for work and am not interested in getting into the crap of relationships as of now. He also was very professional and did not make such moves.”
“As for social media chatter, which blame me for the alleged breakup, one needs to take such things in our stride. Hyperactive fans can sometimes be funny – just because an on-screen couple looks good together, they want them to hook up in real life as well. There is something called personal choice, right? It is not mandatory for an on-screen couple to date.”
Well-said and we appreciate the effort taken by you, Aditi to clear the air!!
