Actress Shubhangi Atre best known for her role as Angoori Bhabi in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, who is loved for her simplicity and elegance, opened up about her relationship with fashion, designers, and her personal style. She spoke from the heart, giving honest answers that reflect her down-to-earth personality.

When asked if she runs behind designers to get their clothes, Shubhangi immediately smiled and said, “Not really. I am very comfortable in Indian clothes, so I don’t run behind designers to borrow their outfits. I love wearing sarees and Indian-inspired styles.” She further added that while she does check out collections to keep herself updated with trends, she doesn’t feel pressured to dress only in designer wear. “I am a street shopper and I love street shopping,” she said with warmth.

Talking about how some big designers can be fussy about giving their clothes, she explained that she has only heard of such stories but never experienced it herself. “Because I mostly wear my own Indian clothes or I get my outfits customised locally, I don’t depend much on big designers,” she shared. According to her, labels are secondary, “I believe confidence and how you carry yourself is more important than the label.”

When the discussion turned towards the high prices of branded and designer dresses, Shubhangi gave a very balanced answer. “Honestly, I feel fashion is about personal choice. Some people enjoy spending a lot on designer wear, but I feel Indian clothes, handlooms and local weaves are just as beautiful and much more special. I think quality and comfort matter more than just price,” she expressed.

On being asked about the most expensive or precious item she owns, the actress shared something personal. “I would say my few handbags. They are not just expensive but very close to my heart. I carry those on just very special occasions,” she revealed.

Shubhangi also enjoys designing her own clothes when she gets time. She explained, “Yes, sometimes I like to design my own Indian outfits. I keep comfort, fabric quality and traditional touch in mind.” She sweetly added that before big events, her daughter always helps her choose the best look, making styling a family affair.
