Actress Ginnie Virdi who is known for her portrayals in TV shows Udaan, Rab Se Sohna Ishq, Papa By Chance etc, has gotten back to acting after overcoming the personal setback of her failed and abusive marriage.
Ginnie who had an arranged marriage with Parminder Singh Malhi in 2017, has now separated from her husband after huge differences crept up in their marital life. She reportedly went through physical abuse, at the hands of her husband. Ginnie who has a daughter, has been working hard to get back to where she belongs. For the uninitiated, she had quit acting soon after marriage.
Now, Ginnie has bagged the new Dangal show Janam Janam Ka Sath, where she plays the character of Sunaina. The show is produced by Sonali Jaffer’s Full House Media.
Says Ginnie, “I was actually waiting for this big moment of my comeback as an actor. Had earlier signed up for a few projects which unfortunately did not materialize. I am glad to be back. I have worked really hard to get over my issues, and have gained the strength to work again. I want to do it for my daughter. Have worked really hard to get over my personal issues, and have gained the strength to work again. I want to do it for my daug”
“After this big trauma in my life, wherein I moved away from my husband, life has been unsettling. This comeback mattered a lot to me. I wanted to work to raise my child,” she quips.
Talking about her character in the show, Ginnie states, “Sunaina is a very interesting character. It feels good to be playing this role. I will give my hundred percent. I would like to thank the Producers Amir Jaffer and Sonali Jaffer for giving me this opportunity.”
