Senior actress Indira Krishna who played the classy role of Vedika Dalmia in Colors’ recently ended show Saavi Ki Savaari, has grabbed her first historical show in her long career. She has now entered Sony SAB’s show Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare. She essays the role of Rajmata Durgavati. The actress is versatile to the core, and is always given new challenges which are different, and she excels in each one of them.

Indira Krishna is known for her great calibre of work ranging from all kinds of genres on TV and films. Krishnadasi, Yeh Hai Chahatein, Krishnaben Khakhrawala, Waaris, Doli Saja Ke, Afsar Bitiya, and the recent Saavi Ki Savaari are a few of the TV shows where she has enthralled her fan base.

Says Indira, “This is a very powerful role, where I play the Queen mother of Devgarh. I am using Rajasthani lingo and nuances for the role so that viewers can relate to the culture and the majestic royal world. I have been known to play powerful roles. I am grateful to Shashi Sumeet for offering yet another one via this role.”

Indira has been extremely happy with her look in the show. “The costumes are simply great. The costume empowers my stature and I have pulled that well. I have a language expert on the set, to train me with the lingo so that I can speak the powerful lines with all the majesty. I am happy that I have this vintage look as Rajmata Durgavai in Dhruv Tara.”
