Having previously won over audiences across Colors TV with Chand Jalne Laga and Naagin 7, actress Kanika Mann is making her third major appearance on the channel by stepping into Bigg Boss 20. Known for her sweet and relatable characters, Kanika is now ready to peel back the layers and introduce viewers to her unfiltered self. Bigg Boss 20 streams on JioHotstar and on Colors TV.

Addressing the shift from her well-known screen personas, Kanika admitted to feeling a mix of fear and necessity. “Yes, I am scared. But I need to do this to show who I truly am. The audience only knows my characters, not me. People close to me know I’m actually a loner, and I want the world to see the real me—for better or worse. I believe that’s how people truly connect with someone. I just want to react genuinely and show my full range of emotions as situations unfold.”

Unlike many contestants who enter the game with meticulous game plans, Kanika relies strictly on authenticity and intuition. “I’m going to play entirely on instinct. My main goal is to expose the people who have walked in with pre-planned strategies. That’s not what a reality show should be about—I’m here to break down those game plans.”

Navigating round-the-clock observation and living alongside unfamiliar housemates brings its own set of fears, particularly when it comes to privacy and daily routines. “Living under 24/7 surveillance with total strangers is terrifying. In the real world, no one lives like that. Here, people will see every moment—when I’m sleeping, eating, or just going about my day. Let’s see how I handle it.”

“The morning alarms are going to ruin my sleep, and I cherish my sleep deeply. I get hungry as soon as I get up; I am used to having breakfast ready at 6:00 AM the moment I wake up, but here I’ll have to cook everything myself. Honestly, there are so many little things making me nervous.”

When it comes to forming personal bonds and drawing boundaries under constant scrutiny, Kanika remains clear about her stance. “I haven’t set strict boundaries yet; I’ll take things as they come. I’ve seen genuine connections form inside the house, but I’ve also seen a lot of fake friendships. I haven’t come with a script, and time will tell who is real. I refuse to fake any relationship in that house.”
