Excerpts:

Tell us about your character in Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho?

My character in the show is that of a gentleman. Kabir is sorted in life and is very practical about things around. He doesn’t mess up and take any shit. He’s a happy person and very much devoted to working.

What do you think is the USP of the show?

The story is new. I love the way the story started and is going ahead. There is love, romance, revenge, emotion and a lot of drama. I’m sure the audience is enjoying watching the story. I mean that’s how it looks seeing the way I have received feedback on social media.

Do you connect in any way with the character you play?

It’s a fictional character. Kunal and Kabir are two different individuals but the mutual part is that we both are very much particular about our commitment. As an actor, I enjoy playing characters to which I don’t relate and can act That’s the biggest challenge for an actor.

Television is attempting to break through into many varied and complicated concepts. How do you see this experiment coming?

TV shows may start with varieties of new concepts, but at the end of the day, there is something common in every show. And that is because our audience enjoys watching the same stuff. Also the success of a show depends on TRP. But as an actor, I’m blessed to have portrayed so many different roles and different layers which are mostly different from each other. I’m always open to trying something new and challenging, instead of repeating myself.

Is there a dream role for you as a performer?

I do have a dream role, but yes certainly every time I sign a show I feel blessed to have been given a chance to play something new. I don’t feel like being typecast. so every time the excitement level is high.

How has the response been to the new role from your fans?

Yea, I see so many new fan pages and tags. That is always encouraging. People give their precious time to edit clips and explore the future twists and turns in your show. I really feel blessed to have so much love and blessings from my well-wishers. Fingers crossed.
