Star Plus is gearing up to captivate audiences with its upcoming show, ‘Yeh Fitoor Tera’, a story that promises magic with every passing day. Generating significant buzz ahead of its launch, the show’s promo has already struck a chord with viewers, raising anticipation for what lies ahead. At the centre of this excitement is lead actor Ishaan Dhawan, who plays Jeet. The character’s unique styling and magnetic presence in the promo have garnered immense love and applause, turning Jeet into an instant heartthrob among fans. The show is produced by Ved Raj’s Story Square Productions, launched on 5 August on Star Plus.
Reflecting on the appreciation the promo has received while the show is yet to air, Ishaan acknowledges the team’s collective effort, “The show has not started yet, but I can say that I have worked hard and am continuing to work hard. The director, producer, channel, and writers have put in a lot of hard work. I will call it a divine vision—that Jeet has become a heartthrob and viewers are eager to watch more of him. I want this collective effort to win love even when the show is on air and does well.”
He further shares the transition from promo shoot to daily shooting, “We got a lot of time initially and haven’t been shooting continuously since the show isn’t on air yet. We shot really well for the promo. But once the show goes on air and we need to shoot daily, there won’t be much time for prep—we’ll have to go with the flow. I just want to prove myself with my performance. This is my opportunity, and I have to use it to my best ability. I will be happy if I can deliver well as Jeet and get accepted and loved.”

Jeet stands out from Ishaan’s previous portrayals, exploring a distinct demeanour, studded aesthetic, and a raw, rugged vibe. “Jeet is different in every way. The beard is different; there is a studded look—he is flamboyant and rugged. I have to hold on to a different meter scale for this role, unlike the roles I have played before. I am also learning more about Jeet; it is an ongoing process. But I have held on to Jeet’s grammar well. I don’t want the reflections of my earlier roles to be seen in Jeet. I love the writing language in this show—it gives me more confidence to play the character. It will be a surprise for me too, as to how I will evolve in the role.”
Crediting the creative hands behind his transformation, Ishaan adds, “The credit for Jeet’s styling goes to the costume department and the creatives—I trusted their vision completely. My only input to the look is my face, beard, and hairstyle (smiles). I was carrying this beard and hairstyle for more than a year before giving the look test. At times, we unknowingly prepare ourselves for what is to come. Things fell into place, and my look was rugged enough to be apt for Jeet. I also went to the gym regularly over the last year, so my muscle work is better compared to my earlier roles. Jeet is the character I perhaps asked the Universe to give me.”
On what he personally loves about the character, he notes, “I like the costumes given to Jeet. Otherwise, I am the person carrying the aura of Jeet, which is what the team liked.”
Sharing his approach toward acting, he says, “My work style is a bit different. I believe in the script and the character. I believe in the time that goes between ‘action’ and ‘cut’—that is the ground where I have to give my best and show my craft. I don’t believe in after-cut chemistry; I have worked the same way in all the shows I have been part of. I have a good rapport with everyone in the team. Deb is a good actress, and we bond well. She is sincere to her craft, and I love being on set.”
In a final message to fans eager to watch his new avatar, Ishaan shares, “Yeh Fitoor Tera’ is a beautiful story. You will live the magic of the show with every passing day. As an actor, I want to do something different in every role, and I am doing something different here. Fans will see me in a totally different avatar.”
