Young actor Abhishek Verma is going great guns in the ruthless negative avatar of Shobhit Rawal in Star Plus’ show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. The show produced by Amir Jaffar and Sonali Jaffar’s Full House Media is engaging viewers with the turmoils in the life of Darsh Rawal (Vijayendra Kumeria) and Nandini (Richa Rathore), which are mainly created by Shobhit.

Abhishek Verma is happy with the manner in which Shobhit’s character has grown with time. “Yes, Shobhit’s character has many layers and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve been fortunate enough that I always get roles that are challenging. I personally love experimenting with my characters, so when I get a chance to do so, I love it.”

High levels of energy seem to be the prerequisite for Shobhit. On the scale of toughness needed for the intense and emotional scenes, Abhishek explains, “Shobhit is definitely not a dull character. It does get difficult to maintain and emote to such a high level and full of intensity role on a daily basis, that too for so many hours, but then again it’s our job and that’s the thrill of acting.”

Ask him to describe his character, and he is quick to say, “Shobhit is an interesting character, I’d say the amount of love he had for his family is ineffable, but because it wasn’t reciprocated the way he wanted, everyone is facing the repercussions.”

On his personal takeaways from the role, Abhishek quips, “My personal take away from every role including Shobhit is the level of a difference it has from characters that I have already played. I like giving a personal touch to every character. Something that one has and the other one doesn’t.”

Ask him if this is the most challenging one in his career graph, and the actor states, “I have always played challenging characters. My roles mostly end up having a grey area but the good thing is that I’m never a bad guy. I have logical reasons behind whatever I’m doing. I think playing black or white is simple; it’s the grey that makes it interesting and challenging.”

On the kind of fan reactions coming in, Abhishek states, “I’m honestly very lucky when it comes to the love I receive from my audience. I can say people look forward to what Abhishek is up to and not just the roles that I play. I feel truly blessed.”

“My cast is a bunch of focused, dedicated and loving people. I enjoy working with them. When you have like-minded people around, you enjoy your work even more,” he quips.

On his dream roles, Abhishek explains, “I don’t have one particular dream role, I want to play all kinds of characters, I want to explore my capabilities as much as I can.”

In his message to fans, he tells us, “A big big thank you for always supporting me, for always loving me. I hope I can always continue to do roles that entertain my audience.”
