As the festive glow of Dhanteras fills the air with traditions, television sets are abuzz with the spirit of the season. For actress Parineeta Borthakur, who plays Chandrika Singh Chauhan in Zee TV’s popular show Vasudha, this time of the year brings a wonderful blend of cherished personal traditions, family values, and a touch of festive warmth on set. Here is a glimpse into Parineeta’s festive mood, memories, and thoughts this Dhanteras.

When asked about the most memorable or meaningful thing she has ever purchased on Dhanteras, Parineeta shares a sweet memory close to her heart. “A small gold coin. It was small, but I bought it with my own hard-earned savings, which made it even more special.”

Looking past traditional festive splurges, Parineeta reflects on what truly matters when asked what extravagant luxury item she would buy if money and practicality were no bar. “Time to spend with my parents. For me, that is the biggest luxury of all. No amount of money can buy back time, and I would love to have more of it with them.”

Sharing a humorous glimpse into her personal habits during the festive rush, she reveals her practical shopping style. “I am a terrible shopper! I go to malls with a list, buy exactly what I need, and come back. People who love browsing and exploring stores would probably hate shopping with me! I like to keep it simple and stick to my list.”

Stepping into the shoes of her character from Vasudha, Parineeta shares a touching token of prosperity she would love to gift her on-screen persona. “Since Chandrika loves her family more than anything else, I would gift her a beautiful, hand-painted family portrait.”

Balancing the demands of a hectic shooting schedule with festive joy, Parineeta describes how she and her co-stars make celebrations special while working. “I usually take the day off on Diwali because it is my favourite festival, and I love celebrating it with my family. During Dhanteras and other festivals, we greet and wish one another, share sweets and homemade delicacies, and spread a little festive cheer on set. Those small gestures make the celebrations special even when we are working.”
