Actress Neha Harsora, who plays the lead in Star Plus’ Udne Ki Aasha, believes authenticity matters more than maintaining a glamorous image in the entertainment industry. In a candid conversation, the actress opened up about social media pressure, fame, and what success truly means to her.
Talking about staying authentic in an industry driven by appearances, Neha said, “I strongly believe in being real. I’m not just talking about authenticity as a word, but about not forgetting who you are — your individuality, your personality, your culture. For me, being myself is more important than creating an image.”
The actress admitted that social media comes with its own expectations. “I do feel the pressure of being active on social media and staying relevant with trends. I try my best to post stories, respond to fans, and stay connected as much as I can manage. But I don’t want social media to define who I am,” she shared.
Speaking about balancing privacy with fan clubs, Neha added, “It’s important to stay connected with people who support you, but at the same time, you should also protect your personal space.”
Despite growing recognition, the actress says fame has not changed her perspective about herself. “I still try to be myself and enjoy being who I am. I come from a rooted background, and my family, culture, and values keep me grounded,” she said.
For Neha, success goes beyond popularity and visibility. “Success for me is about how much people genuinely love and connect with you — wanting to know you, talk to you, and appreciate you as a person. It’s not just about being popular on television or in films,” she concluded.
