Not only her fans but Rachana too miss being on TV, “I miss coming on the sets and being on small screen.”
The thespian is lucky to have enacted characters which have inspired audiences.“I have always done shows that have given a strong message to the audience. Be it spreading a message about dusky looks in Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar or social message through Ek Mutthi Aasmaan or by the historical character Ajabde in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. Luckily, all the characters have had a social message and have inspired audience. Hence, I want to take up projects that have a meaning or which can spread a message.”

I was also approached for Kasam and Ekta Kapoor’s Chandrakanta but unfortunately there were difference of opinion.”
When we ask Rachana about any regrets in her life, she avers, “I was offered Sony TV’s Ek Duje Ke Vaaste but I rejected it. I was very adamant on not taking up the show hence I said no to it. I feel sad that I didn’t sign the project.”
Finally, talking about how TV has changed her life, she adds, “Ek Mutthi Aasmaan changed my life. Although I did Maharana Pratap which was a huge show but people still remember me as Kalpi. The character, chemistry with Ashish Chowdhry, everything about the show is loved by the audience.”
