Read on.

Dangal as a channel has covered huge grounds in quick time. What do you think?

Yes, Dangal has shot up. It is regarded as one of the mainstream TV channels today. The biggest example of the channel capable of delivering niche content is our show, Mann Atisundar.

The knight in the shining armour of Mann Atisundar is the writing.

Mann Atisundar has been an underdog, silently doing consistently well. What do you have to say?

Yes, Mann Atisundar has achieved many feats in recent times. The ratings have been good, and the show’s twists and drama is something that audiences look forward to.

Did you ever believe that the show could achieve all the feats it has when you accepted to do the show?

To tell you honestly, I did feel that the concept of Mann Atisundar will do well. I believed in the concept and found it to be appealing. All of us have a high resolve when it comes to fitness. Looking aesthetic and sleek is something that we generally look forward to. Mann Atisundar defies the norm that it is only the physical appearance that can make one acceptable. It has been a show which connects to the heart, and Radhika has been a girl who is extremely beautiful on the inside, and this makes her good-looking from the outside too.

I take the pressure of being the best version of myself as a performer: Manan Joshi on Mann Atisundar 953984

What do you think has worked for the show?

Well, the performances of all the actors stand up and are being recognized. We as actors believe in putting our best foot forward, every single day on the set. Not taking any credit away, though, from the knight in the shining armour of Mann Atisundar – the writing. What can I say? Every track has its own significance, has been kept precisely concise so that the audience stays with the show and enjoys it. The plot does not take the predictable route, and as actors, when we read the scripts, we are usually taken aback at the twists. These turnarounds and drama has successfully kept the viewers on their toes.

How is it working with Tanishq?

She is a bright kid. As an actor, I always like to improvise and play around with my dialogues. She comes across as flawless in executing her work to perfection. Even if I throw something new at her in my lines, I know she will handle it well. That is the confidence I have in her. When the actor opposite you is professionally efficient, work becomes very easy. It brings out the best in both of us.

The show is available in a repackaged version on a different channel. How does it feel?

Well, yes, this is never heard of. It fills us with pride to see that Mann Atisundar is finding an audience on another channel as a repackaged show with a new title. Sony TV has been one of the big channels for years. I have personally grown up watching Sony. So it has been a happy moment for us.

In a time when shows are dropped in pretty quick time, how do you deal with the added pressure of sustaining the show’s good run?

Well, one should manage to look at only the controllables and leave the variables aside. As a team, we do our best day in and day out and lay every brick that will make for a great foundation for the show. I never take the pressure of ratings, as that is beyond me. I like taking the pressure of being the best version of myself as possible as a performer. If that is achieved, it will certainly show in the ratings.

What are the kinds of roles you look at now?

My earlier role as Anubhav gave me a new challenge, both physically and mentally. Divyam has given me ample learning experience and enjoyment. I would love to get a chance to explore the shorter format. Also, I would like to dive into the comic space. Format or medium does not matter. I want to be in a space where I can deliver quality performance every time.
