Actress Shubhangi Atre, who has been enthralling one and all in the role of Angoori Bhabhi in & TV’s Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, is feeling both happy and a little emotional on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. This year, she will be in the US with her daughter and one of her sisters, but she will miss her other sister, who lives in Bhopal.

“This year, I will be celebrating Rakhi in the US with my daughter,” Shubhangi shares. “One of my sisters lives here too, so we will celebrate together. But I will miss my other sister who stays in Bhopal. Every year, we all celebrate Rakhi together, so this year feels a little incomplete without her. But we will connect on a video call,” she adds warmly.

Over the years, her way of celebrating the festival has changed too. “Earlier, Rakhi was just about tying the thread and eating sweets. But now, it is more emotional. We talk about our childhood, laugh a lot, and make each other feel loved,” she says.

Shubhangi also shares a beautiful tradition of her own. “I don’t have a real brother, but I tie Rakhi to my sisters every year. For me, they are like brothers, too. They protect me, support me, and love me unconditionally,” she smiles.

When it comes to gifts, Shubhangi likes to keep it simple but thoughtful. “I prefer giving useful gifts—maybe a book, a perfume, or skincare. But honestly, time and love are the best gifts one can give,” she adds.

Talking about her bond with her sisters, Shubhangi recalls a moment that she will always treasure. “Once, during a very difficult time in my life, both my sisters stood by me like a rock. They were always there—calling, messaging, even flying down to be with me. Their support gave me the strength to move forward,” she says with emotion.

“Their love means everything to me,” she ends with a smile.
