Actress Mansi Srivastava, who is married to Kapil Tejwani, is excited about the Karwa Chauth festival, which happens to be one of her favourite festivals. Truly so, as Karwa Chauth is a powerful reminder of the marital bond. It is a day dedicated to reinforcing the love, respect, and emotional connection between a husband and wife. Mansi, who is known for her portrayals in shows Rab Se Sohna Isshq, Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Ishqbaaaz, Divya Drishti, Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, Saavi Ki Savari, etc, talks to IWMBuzz.com about the festive spirit and more.
Says Mansi, “I am always very excited for Karwa Chauth. It is one of my favourite festivities. Usually, I don’t keep any fast, but this festival keeps me excited. This year, I will be shooting, but will be fasting. Hopefully, I will get time for the Puja and a nice dinner with Kapil.”
Mansi, who is busy with a shoot around Karwa Chauth on the day, says, “Due to a shoot, I will be occupied the whole day. I just hope I get free for the Puja. Usually, I love doing the proper rituals of reading Karwa Chauth katha, waiting for the moon to appear and watching it constantly.”
In an era where sporting the Karwa Chauth activities for the day has become the norm on social media, Mansi loves to keep certain things simple. “I really value the Karwa Chauth fast. It is because I don’t fast on any other day except this. I truly believe in the spirit of fasting. It is a great feeling that a wife can shape her husband’s life in a good way by fasting. With that faith, I will always fast for Kapil.”
Happy Karwa Chauth to all!!
