Himanshu Soni, who rose to fame with shows like Buddha and Neeli Chatri Wale, is happy to be exploring a challenging character in his acting journey. The actor is currently seen playing Abhimanyu Pandey, a charming, rich yet seemingly normal young man dealing with mental instability, in Zee TV recently launched a romantic drama Aggar Tum Na Hote.

Talking about his character, Himanshu said, “Abhimanyu is a happy guy and he always thinks about others’ happiness. Unfortunately, his mental instability forces him to stay away from his loved ones. There is so much depth to this character that you can’t imagine. There are many layers to this, which the audience will gradually unravel and get to know the character over time.”

When asked about his preparation for the role, he added, “I have worked a lot on myself to get into the skin of the character. I have tried to look different from the characters that I have essayed earlier. I have become more fit for this role. Previously, I was part of historical shows hence had a simple look but now have modernized myself.”

As we know Abhimanyu suddenly becomes aggressive and begins to hurt himself due to his mental instability, in such a situation, while enacting the role, does he get injured, “I believe in realism and not fake acts. When you yourself don’t feel it, how will you make your audiences believe in the same? I take every scene seriously. I give my 200 percent to any role that I take up. For this character too I have gone out of my way to do my best and hence sometimes have also got injured while performing. I always visualize my scene as the last scene of my life and act accordingly,” ended Himanshu.
