Popular actress Nishi Saxena, who enthralled one and all in the role of Dimpy in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, has entered the Zee TV show Vasudha, produced by Arvind Babbal Productions. She plays the role of Nandini Oberoi, who is the chosen girl for Devansh Singh Chauhan (Abhishek Sharrma). Chandrika Singh Chauhan (Parineeta Borthakur) has chosen Nandini for Dev and has introduced her to her family. Dev is shocked and puzzled at his mother’s sudden choice, but is not able to speak the truth about his wedding with Vasudha (Priya Thakur).

We at IWMBuzz.com connected with Nishi to know more about her character, and she says, “Yes, I play the parallel lead in Vasudha. Nandini is a sweet and simple girl, with most qualities matching those of Dev. She is positive and likes Dev and his family.”

Nishi elaborates on her choice, saying, “Vasudha is a very good show and is doing well. The character is that of a simple and sweet person. As Dimpy in Anupamaa, I have had layers to portray under different situations. I wanted to challenge myself with this character, too. I believe that this is the way to grow, by picking up new challenges via roles. Above all, this is a very interesting track in Vasudha, given the circumstances in which the story is placed right now.”

Ask her about being the third girl in Dev’s life in the show, with him being married to Vasudha, and Vidhi breathing fire at his neck, and she says, “Yes, this is what makes the story more interesting. Dev is secretly married to Vasudha. The show has established Vidhi, who is madly in love with Dev. And here is Nandini Oberoi, who is chosen by the mother for Dev. It is fun when all the characters have variations and layers to play with.”

Diwali came with the happy news of Vasudha’s offer coming to Nishi. She says, “My Diwali, over the last few years, have been busy with Anupamaa. This Diwali, I was again busy, as I was supposed to start shooting soon after Diwali. So it was a happy feeling, as I embraced this new beginning.”

To all her fans who have loved her as Dimpy, Nishi states, “I want to thank them for giving me so much love. I want their support now; I want them to love me in my new journey in Vasudha. Vasudha is one such show that touches the audience in a relatable manner.”

Best of luck!!
