Aham Sharma has carved a steady and respected space for himself with his consistent performances across films, web series, and television. From intense dramas to light-hearted roles, the actor has shown a remarkable range over the years. He was last seen in Star Plus’ Sampoorna, where his layered performance earned praise, and fans are now eagerly waiting for an official announcement about his next project.
As 2026 begins, Aham is clear about one thing – he wants his work to travel farther and connect with a much wider audience. Reflecting on his journey so far, Aham feels grateful for the variety of roles he has been able to explore. Talking about the genres he wants to focus on in 2026, the actor says he has already experienced a wide spectrum of characters.
“I’ve been lucky to work across films, series, and television, and each medium has given me something different,” he shares. “I started films with Blue Oranges, which was intense and brooding. Then I did comedy with Acting Ka Bhoot and played an anti-hero in Bhagavat. On television and digital platforms too, I’ve moved between romance, intensity, grey characters, and comedy.”
However, for Aham, the coming year is not about ticking off genres but about a deeper connection. “In 2026, I want my work to speak for itself and reach the masses,” he says. “I hope more people connect with what I do. I feel ready as an actor now because I’ve spent years working on my craft. I’m open to any role, any genre, as long as it excites me.”
When asked if he wants to break a certain image or step out of his comfort zone, Aham explains that genres matter less than strong character writing. “It’s not really about the genre,” he says. “At the end of the day, there are only a few basic plots. What matters is how a character is written, how much depth it has, and whether it allows you to explore different shades.”
He adds that layered roles are what truly challenge him as an actor. “The more layers a character has, the more interesting it becomes to portray. That’s when you can bring out hidden nuances and make unique choices,” Aham explains. “In Sampoorna too, my character had multiple dimensions. As the story unfolded, more shades came out, and that’s what excites me.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Aham hopes to take on complex, challenging roles that push him creatively. “It’s not about proving anything to anyone,” he says. “If a role is demanding and layered, it excites me as an actor. I just hope more such characters come my way.”
With his experience, versatility, and hunger to grow, Aham Sharma is clearly ready to make 2026 a defining year in his career.
