Shagun Sharma, who has charmed audiences with her acting chops in TV shows, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3, Tu Aashiqui, Gangaa, Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha, Ishk Par Zor Nahi, is back on-screen in a new avatar. The actress is currently seen playing the lead role of Titlee in Star Bharat show Sasural Genda Phool 2.
Talking exclusively to IWMBuzz.com on her new show, she said, “I am very excited to join the show. Not only me but my friends and family members are equally excited. They have seen me struggle in this industry so they know how important it is for me to bag such an iconic show. I would lie if I say that there is no pressure because it is. Initially, I was feeling nervous while working with the senior actors but now I am comfortable. They have welcomed me into their family.”
She added, “I understand every time a show comes up with a sequel or leap or with some other lead actress then fans do feel bad. However, I am grateful that I have not received any extreme hate comments. Fans have mentioned that ‘we miss Ragini and we miss Suhana’. That is an obvious thing but people are loving the new season. They are also looking forward to Titlee and her role in the show. I am a person who gets affected by all these comments and trolling. However, the love that is coming my way is keeping me motivated.”
When asked about her experience working with Jay Soni, she shared, “It is superb. Initially, I was scared as he is also an experienced actor and has worked in many shows. However, he is very chilled out. If I get stuck somewhere or I need help, I go to him. He is always there to help and guide. I hope audiences like our jodi.”
