For Ishaan Dhawan—the charismatic lead set to capture hearts in Star Plus’ upcoming romance drama, Yeh Fitoor Tera—life lately has been mirroring the subtle, irresistible complexities of a fine block of dark chocolate. Calm and focused, Ishaan views both his craft and his cravings through a lens of mindful appreciation.
This World Chocolate Day, he steps away from the high-stakes drama of the sets to share how a simple, universal love for sweet indulgence can spark the most profound traditions and timeless memories.
In a world that constantly races ahead, Ishaan believes we are often too hard on ourselves, turning simple daily comforts into illicit rewards. “I think we’re all a little too hard on ourselves. If something brings you joy, enjoy it mindfully. A piece of chocolate after a long day can instantly lift your mood. I don’t believe every little happiness needs to come with guilt attached.”
He envisions a tradition rooted in spontaneous kindness—a ripple effect of small gestures. “I’d make it a day where everyone surprises someone with their favourite chocolate, without waiting for a special occasion. We celebrate so many big moments, but sometimes the smallest gestures leave the biggest impact.”
For him, a classic bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk isn’t just chocolate; it’s a time machine to childhood, best shared with the person who has anchored him through every high and low. “If I had to choose one person, it would definitely be my mother. She’s always been my biggest support system, and sharing my favourite chocolate with her would make it even more special. The best memories are made over simple moments like these.”
He adds, “I’d love to share it with the entire Fitoor team too. We have spent so much time together that we’ve become like a family.
Speaking about his ultimate movie-watching chocolate snack, Ishaan says, “Chocolate-coated almonds or hazelnuts. They’re dangerous because once you start, you don’t realise you’ve finished the whole pack before the interval!”
Lastly, reflecting on his mood right now and how he would equate it to a chocolate, he says, “I’d say dark chocolate. It has a rich flavour, a little mystery, and the more you experience it, the more you enjoy it. I think that’s my mood these days. Calm, focused, and excited for everything that’s coming up.”
Too yummy!! Enjoy your chocolate spree on World Chocolate Day!!
