Ishita Dixit has been getting a lot of love from viewers for playing Pari in Star Plus’s Anupamaa, by Rajan Shahi. Even though she is still comparatively new to the industry, her work on the show has made people notice her.
Speaking about her experience in the industry, Ishita admitted that her time in showbiz has been short, but the effort behind it has been long. She said, “I haven’t had much experience in this industry, to be very honest. It’s been around two and a half years, but this journey has been quite long. I think I reached here after giving almost 100 to 150 auditions.”
Being part of a show like Anupamaa is something she deeply values. Calling it a blessing, she shared, “I feel very lucky that I am doing Anupamaa right now. This is honestly the best time of my life.”
Ishita also reflected on how these years have changed her, not just professionally but personally as well. She explained, “I am not the same person I was 2.5 years ago. I have changed a lot. I feel like I am growing every day. I get to learn new things all the time—how to live alone happily, how to focus on my career and my work.”
When it comes to the future, Ishita is clear that she wants to do more and challenge herself. She said, “I feel like I am ready to play lead roles now. I’m not saying I only want to do lead roles, but I know I can do much more, and I have a lot to show.”
At the same time, she doesn’t want to be limited to one kind of character. Sharing her excitement for diverse roles, she added, “I love acting, and I enjoy playing unique characters. I really want to play a police officer or even a serial killer someday. I want to do roles that have depth and emotions.”
She further expressed her hunger to explore as an actor, saying, “I want to try many things. I feel like I have so much more to give after playing Pari in Anupamaa.”
