Rohit Agrawal, who plays the rich and spoilt brat, Sid, in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is having a gala time, being part of the show. The track is poised on three rich youngsters, Varun, Sid and Riddhi, who are involved in using AI to create a video of Armaan (Rohit Purohit) and Abhira’s (Samridhii Shukla) closeness, and making it viral. The viral video has tormented Armaan and Abhira’s lives, with even Maira getting upset at their parents.
Rohit, who was earlier seen in Doree 2, playing the close friend of Doree, is happy to have bagged this negative role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Talking about the role and show, he says, “Sid is a Gen Z kid who is rich and spoilt. Their AI-created video has ruined Armaan and Abhira’s happiness. I am enjoying playing the negative role.”
“It has been wonderful being on the set of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Everyone on the set is treated with utmost respect and dignity. Working with Rohit and Samridhii has been amazing. They are grounded, and they greeted us well on the first day, easing our tensions. The whole cast and crew have been amazing. I am happy to have got this grey character. It is the first time I play a baddie. It gives me a scope to test my acting prowess too,” he adds further.
On the response to the track, Rohit tells us, “Viewers’ response has also been amazing. When you are hated for your character you play, it means that you are doing a good job as an actor. In short, it feels good to be hated. I would like to say it again, that I am grateful to be a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.”
