Actress Bidisha Ghosh Sharma is making heads turn with her fabulous portrayal as Teji Raghuvanshi in Sony TV’s popular show Kathaa Ankahee. Produced by Sphere Origins, this show is an unusual love tale of Viaan and Kathaa, played so very aptly by Adnan Khan and Aditi Sharma.

As Teji, Bidisha has made her mark in the show!! Her sequences with her son make us emotional. And we see the sincerity with which Bidisha enacts her character.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Bidisha talks about her role, her bond with her co-stars and much more.

Excerpts:

How is the feeling to play Teji on screen?

I am thrilled to be playing Teji on screen. Teji comes with a lot of layers in her character – happiness, sadness, anxiety, and child-like-innocence. I am thoroughly enjoying playing Teji in Kathaa Ankahee. It is a lot of fun shooting on the set. I look forward to playing this character every day. The character is presently going through a lot of emotions. I am enjoying it to the core.

The chemistry exhibited by you and Adnan as mother and son are scenes that come out well. Tell us about your bonding.

My bonding with Adnan is very amazing. That is why our relationship comes across so well on screen. He is a gem of a guy with a golden heart. He is a gentleman, it is a privilege to play his mother actually. We have a lot of fun on set. Working with him is very easy. Any mother would be proud to have a son like Adnan. It is a cakewalk doing scenes with Adnan.

What’s the best characteristic that Viaan has?

Viaan’s character has some of the best qualities that a man can have. Apart from that one dark night that has happened in the story, Viaan as a character is a loving son, very helpful person to his friends and people lover, and is an animal lover. Yes, he has had a troublesome past. But the experiences that he has gone through are making him a better person. Viaan has re-evaluated himself after making a mistake. This is the best quality in him, that he is willing to change. He is the best son that his mother can get.

What are your takeaways from the role?

It is to not live in the past. It is to live in the present and look forward to the future. One should not let the bad things from the past bog you down. That hinders the good moments in life. This is my motto as well to not look too much into the past.

Kathaa Ankahee is a very different story plot. How do you think this journey has been?

Yes, Kathaa Ankahee is a very different plot. All of us actors love this concept. We are glad that we are part of this show. We portray the real feelings and psychologies in our scenes. We look forward to the story development now. Hope the audience keeps loving us.

Tell us about your interests as a performer.

I would like to do good roles like this. I love to do real characters. I have been lucky to get what I want. I try to keep my acting as natural as possible. As a performer, I have tried different characters. I want to explore characters that are not me. I am at the age of 21 by heart, so playing a mom is tough. It is not me, but we tend to learn a lot by playing such characters.

What are the other projects you have in hand?

As of now, I am concentrating on Kathaa Ankahee. I don’t like shooting for too many days a month. I am happy with the downtime I get. I read my books, do my writing and pursue other hobbies.

Have your expectations with the show and role been met till now?

My expectations from my role and from the show have been met. The show is doing so well. The audience is loving every character. The main leads Aditi and Adnan are such amazing performers. We support each other. We work in a very positive environment.
