Udaariyaan, a television program on Colors, is about to jump 15 years ahead, after which the plot will undergo significant changes. Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who play the key couple Fateh-Tejo, are about to quit Udaariyaan. The focus of the upcoming episode of the program will be on Fateh-Tejo’s and Jasmine’s adopted daughter Nehmat, who is actually an orphan that Jasmine left with them rather than their child. The film’s creators released the new trailer, in which Fateh-Tejo sings a farewell song.
Twinkle Arora and Sonakshi Batra, who play the new leads Nehmat and Naaz, can be seen walking hand in hand in the video. Priyanka Choudhary discussed leaving Udaariyaan in a conversation with India Forums. She shared what she initially thought about the show moving up a generation. The actress stated, “Well, yes, as you’ll know, the show is set for a generation to leap, and that’s why Ankit and I will no longer be a part of the show. When I first learned about it, I was fine with it. I believe that it’s part and parcel of an actor’s life.”
“But now, when I look at the promo, it has finally started to sink in that we won’t be a part of the show anymore, and it’s, of course, an emotional feeling because I’m quite connected and close to the character of Tejo. I have seen the promo at least a hundred times because it can probably be the last promo of Tejo. So I’d like to thank Ravi and Sargun for believing in me and giving me ‘Udaariyaan.’ It will always be special to me and will always remain close to my heart. I’ve got a lot of exposure because of the show, and it has been an enriching experience so far.”
