April Fools’ Day, celebrated every year on April 1st, is a day dedicated to playing harmless pranks, cracking jokes, and spreading lighthearted hoaxes. The goal for the day is to pull off a fast prank and make someone believe something ridiculous. It’s all about spreading giggles, playing harmless tricks on your favourite people, and seeing who’s quick enough to catch on! We at IWMBuzz.com have Aayushi Khurrana, aka Reet from the Zee TV show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, who recollects her days as a child and the special connection she has to this day.
Aayushi says, “I remember when I was a kid, I once told my mother that I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t go to school, saying I didn’t think I’d be able to make it that day. She was quite understanding and told me to rest. But later in the evening, I casually told her I wanted to go to a friend’s place.”
She goes on to say, “That’s when she got suspicious and said, ‘You weren’t well enough for school, but now you’re fine to go out?’ And that’s when I revealed, ‘It’s April Fool’s Day. ’ It wasn’t just my plan, it was something my friends and I had planned together because we wanted to skip school. We even had a Sanskrit test that day, so this was our way of escaping it without studying! Looking back, I think that’s one April Fool’s prank I’ll always remember.”
