Nia Sharma made her acting debut in the 2010 television series Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha. She went on to star in Behenein and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, but it was with Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai that she became famous.
The actress who played Manvi was a huge hit with the audience. Nia hasn’t looked back since then. Back-to-back smashes like Jamai Raja, Ishq Mein Marjawan, and Naagin 4 convinced her. She even took part in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
While Nia has had a hectic schedule in recent years, she also revealed that there was a point when she was unemployed for nine months. She stated in an interview that she had nothing to do when Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai ended until she received Jamai Raja.
Nia revealed that she didn’t make a penny and spent the time working on herself. “I was completely alone when I first entered this field. I’d just finished Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, the show that launched my career.
That is uske baad poora ek saal ka gap. So there was a nine-month delay between Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Jamai Raja. In Mumbai, I was completely alone. I didn’t have any pals because I was new. I remained encased in my shell.
I started working on myself and learned belly dancing. Woh jo 9 mahine guzar gaye, then I realised ki koi kaam nahi tha, kuch nahi tha, no money, no friends… I believe that woh ek period tha, mujhe dobara nahi jeena tha,” she stated.
