Over the years, Khushi Dubey has built an impressive career in OTT, television, and films. Whether it is emotional drama or romance, the actress has managed to leave her mark with every project she has undertaken. Khushi has proved her versatility by playing light-hearted roles as well as intense emotional characters, and her range continues to connect with the audience. The actress recently opened up about the most difficult role of her career on a personal and emotional level.
Khushi revealed that portraying Chikki in Aashiqana remains the most challenging role she has done to date. Sharing her experience, Khushi said, “The most emotionally challenging role for me has been Chikki from Aashiqana. I was returning to acting after a long gap, probably four to five years.”
She explained that the role demanded much more than just emotional acting. “It required humour, shayaris, emotional scenes, and action. It required four phases of Chikki changing as a person in four seasons,” Khushi shared while recalling the journey of the show. “At one point, it was all on the shoulders of me and Zayn Ibad Khan,” she said.
Khushi further opened up about managing studies, injuries, and personal struggles while filming the series. During the first season, she was simultaneously appearing for her final-year exams, making the schedule even more hectic. “Also, in the first season, I was giving my final year exams. There were a lot of times when I got hurt during the stunts and was having some issues in my personal life,” she revealed.
Despite everything happening behind the scenes, the actress had to maintain Chikki’s cheerful and funny personality on screen. That emotional contrast, according to Khushi, became one of the toughest parts of playing the role. “But since Chikki is a humorous character, you have to portray that onscreen, no matter what,” she added.
Even today, fans continue to remember Khushi Dubey’s performance in Aashiqana for the emotional depth and energy she brought to the character.
