After winning hearts as Dilip in Star Plus’ Udne Ki Aasha, actor Sahil Balani is all set to headline Dangal TV‘s upcoming family drama Hamari Bhabhi No. 1. The show, produced by Jay Productions, is set in Dwarka, Gujarat and will premiere on August 31, 2026, airing Monday to Saturday at 9:30 PM. It stars Sonal Khilwani, Pratham Kunwar, Sahil Balani and Tanvi Sawant.
Opening up about his new role, Sahil said the viewers will get to see a completely different side of him this time. “This time, I think viewers are going to see a completely different side of me compared to my previous character, Dilip. With Lakshya, people will get to see my more carefree, fun-loving, lively and positive side. He is someone who genuinely enjoys life and believes that there is always something beautiful waiting for you, no matter what you are going through,” he said.
The actor shared that what he loves most about Lakshya is his moral clarity. “Lakshya knows the difference between right and wrong, and what I really love about him is that he always chooses to do the right thing, without losing his innocence or positivity. He believes in following the right path and doing things ethically. He chooses to focus on the good, even when everything around him seems difficult. He believes that life is beautiful and that there is so much more to experience. I think that quality is very relatable and inspiring,” he added.
Sahil also revealed that the audience will get to see his romantic side in the show. “And of course, this time the audience will also get to see my romantic side. Lakshya is extremely devoted when it comes to love. Just like he is deeply devoted to his family, when he loves someone, he loves them wholeheartedly. He will stand by the person he loves, support them, and make sure they feel valued and protected,” he said.
“So in a way, Lakshya is going to show the audience a much lighter, happier and more romantic side of me — and I’m really excited for everyone to experience that journey with me,” Sahil concluded.
