Shruti Bhist, the talented actor currently captivating audiences in the lead role of the ghost whisperer in Colors‘ supernatural show Noyontara, has been honing her craft since her early childhood. With a rich background that includes numerous significant roles as a child actor, she is now making a remarkable transition as a leading lady in television. In her unique and compelling portrayal in Noyontara, Shruti truly shines, relishing this exciting and fulfilling chapter of her career.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Shruti talks about the role, her vision as an actor and more.

To begin with, Shruti stresses about the biggest preparation she needed to make to get into the skin of Noyontara. “I am learning the Bengali language. Learning the sweetness of the Bengali language was the biggest preparation I made for the show. Obviously, it is not my first language, but yes I think I am comfortable with it now because many people on our set speak Bengali, and I readily get their help.”

My childhood was on the set with me having the scope of gaining great knowledge with intelligent, and hard-working people around me.

Talking about the show’s unique concept, Shruti states, “The show has elements of thriller, mystery and horror. The tantalizing music and the background score are amazing. As far as my character goes, Noyontara can see ghosts. She helps those who seem to have trouble finding their peace. In simple words, she helps the one that others cannot see.”

Talking about how an actor’s life is tough, Shruti elaborates saying, “Being an actor is tough. Today, you have a job and tomorrow, you might not!! That is how life works. It is not always sunny for actors like us, not always a rainbow-filled phase in life. There are cloudy and rainy days, and there are storms too. I do not allow any situation to affect me personally. I like to try new things. I love to spend quality time with my family.”

Shruti who has been a child actor for many years has seen the evolution of work in the industry vividly. “Yes, I have been a child actor. I have been working in this industry since I was five years old. I have seen the industry change. The TV serial industry has also undergone drastic changes. There are many things that I have learnt from this industry. It is like my childhood was on the set with me having the scope of gaining great knowledge with intelligent, and hard-working people around me. And after coming this far, I think I am doing a good job.”

Shruti who got her first lead role with Colors’ Mishri is happy to associate with the channel again for Noyontara. “I feel excited, and I feel very grateful that Colors gave me an opportunity again. They trusted me after Mishri and I feel so lucky.”

Best of luck!!
