Television’s popular actress Shruti Seth, who rose to fame with her role in ‘Shararat’, wants to explore the digital world.
She says, “I am looking forward to do something on the web platform. There are new things coming up on that space, so would really want to explore it.”
Shruti, who made a comeback on TV after a long gap with SAB TV’s TV, Biwi aur Main, feels her show is going off air very soon. “It was a lovely experience. We thought that it would wind up sooner than a year but never thought it would happen so soon. It was not shocking, but sad news. I think at the end of the day it is business. If a show doesn’t get numbers as expected, drastic steps get taken. The makers have the right to do what is necessary in terms of business.”
She further shares, “I have been away from my daughter; so I am happy with the little break at the moment. I don’t know if I am ready for a full fledged daily soap. It becomes hectic because of commitments. I would love to do another light-hearted sitcom.”
Lastly, talking about her experience working with the cast, she avers, “The good thing about TV, Biwi was that I came back to TV after really long. The last show I did which had a long run was Shararat. It was nice to come back to a daily soap. We had a great team. I feel bad that the team split up. This has been really fun experience. Although we did not do great in numbers, people who saw the show had encouraging things to say about it. I would love to be re-united with the cast. I think I am less scared of doing a daily show. I am glad it happened during Diwali. I will get to spend good amount of time with my daughter and family.”
