Reyhna Pandit who plays Mohini in Manmohini gets into a conversation.

I love to be challenged by going out of my comfort zone: Reyhna Malhotra

With the popular and long-running Zee TV show Manmohini finally coming to an end, lead actor Reyhna Pandit is looking ahead and would want to try concepts which show her simpler side, just like her character appeared in Season 2 of the above fantasy.

“Everybody knows I can look hot, so I now want to try other facets of acting repertoire. I might want to continue with the off late Manmohini bahu image as well.”

“For me, more than the hotness or otherwise, what counts is the graph and meat of the character. I always love to be challenged by going out of my comfort zone.”

“However, all this talk is conjecture as I have yet to be officially informed about the closure of Manmohini. And I always prefer to be told as they say by the horse’s mouth before taking up any new project.”

When asked about the low ratings of Manmohini, she says, “The decision to shift our show from 7 pm to 10.30 pm did not work as most of the audiences did not know about the same.”

She also refused to comment on whether the decision to slowly reduce the supernatural track with more of the family drama and romance route could have also hurt the show. “Better ask the channel and the production house (LSD Films). Most such decisions are backed by research, though.”

“I have and will continue to deliver to the best of my ability,” added she.

Overall, Reyhna has had an incredible journey with Manmohini, “I got a lot of audience love who missed me when Season 2 first started. Later my fans were happy when Mohini returned.”

“One of the main reasons why Manmohini has lasted well for over a year is the story, execution, and performance. We also tried different tracks in different seasons,” exclaimed she.

Reyhna, who has been around the TV for over six years, has full gratitude for the medium, “This has given me a lot and made me who I am?”

She has done noted shows like Jamai Raja, Ishqbaaaz, and Woh Apna Sa.

In closing, Reyhna, who considers herself a good dancer, would also love to shake a leg on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, if given a chance.

“This format only focuses on your talent and does not have other items of baggage like love and relationships as with other shows. So if you succeed, it is your baby alone, and if you fail, you don’t have a fall guy/girl to pin the blame on, thereby leading to relationships going asunder.”

Best of luck, Reyhna!!
