Actress Aanchal Soni, who recently entered Star Plus and Balaji Telefilms’ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, opened up about how her character will evolve after the much-talked-about wedding track.
Aanchal joined the show after its 10-year narrative leap to play the pivotal character of the grown-up Samaira, daughter of Karan and Nandini, played by Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan. The show sees Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay reprising their legendary roles as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. Currently, the storyline revolves around her grand wedding with Sid, played by Harshit Joshi, son of Subhash Dasgupta (Ashish Kaul) and Tripti (Suvarna Jha).
Talking about the upcoming track and her character’s journey post-marriage, the actress said, “I think marriage is going to be a major turning point for my character and will bring a completely new dimension to her life. Until now, the audience has seen her as a daughter, with her own dreams and her own world. But after marriage, she will enter a new family with new responsibilities, new dynamics, and new expectations. That transition is going to be very challenging and emotional for her.”
“She will have to balance her own individuality with her duties as a wife and as a daughter-in-law. There will be situations that will test her patience, her strength, and her values. But what I love is that marriage will not change who she is at her core. Her values and her individuality will remain intact; in fact, they will become stronger,” she added.
The actress, known for featuring in shows like Naagin 7, Deewaniyat and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, further shared what the audience can expect.
“You will see her evolve into a more mature, more resilient, and more self-aware woman. She will learn to stand up for herself while also holding the family together. There are some very interesting and unexpected twists coming up in this new phase that will change the course of her journey. I am very excited for the audience to witness her growth, and I hope they continue to support and love her in this new phase as well,” Aanchal concluded.
