Senior actor Sanjay Swaraj has entered the Colors TV show Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki in a mighty role, that of Mannat’s father and the ex-husband of Aishwarya Rai Singh, earlier known as Sonia Sharma (Mona Vasu). His entry is poised to change the dynamics of relationships and promises to add new flavours of intrigue in the show. The show is produced by Mukta Dhond’s Malhar Content Creators.
Sanjay talked to IWMBuzz.com about his role, and he says, “This is a mighty character, very different from what I have played earlier. You cannot term the man as positive or negative. His relationship varies from individual to individual. He is extremely positive and will be a beacon of light in the life of his daughter, Mannat. However, he has returned with a lot of angst against Sonia, the woman who ruined his life. He will be totally against the scheming Aishwarya Rai Singh. This will be a tussle to look forward to in the show.”
Sanjay claimed that the character is hurt and battered, having endured so much in life due to Sonia Singh. He now returns for the sake of revenge. “My character has a lot of emotions to play with. There is a painful backstory which justifies all his actions against Sonia.”
Sanjay, who has portrayed challenging roles in shows Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Bekaboo, Molkki, Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya Shiv Shakti, Doree 2 etc, is happy to be sharing screen space with great performers in the show Mannat. “Mona Vasu is a power-packed performer. She is doing a great job in the role of Aishwarya Rai Singh. My character and scope in the storyline will provide a great platform for the face-off between our characters. I look forward to that creative engagement.”
Talking about the show Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki doing well, he says, “The show is very different and is not the typical saas-bahu saga that we get to watch on TV usually. The underplay of emotions and the interpersonal relationships between the prime characters have won the audience’s minds. The show now enters a crucial phase, and the story will have a gripping curiosity.”
Best of luck!!
