Model-turned-actor Mahir Pandhi, who has been a part of the web shows Pawan & Pooja and Bebaakee, is currently leaving no stone unturned with his amazing acting talent. He is seen playing the lead role of Rajveer Singh Babbar in Choti Sarrdaarni on Colors TV.
Commenting about his new show, Mahir says, “I have so far played the role of a rich guy who is very poised. Here, I am playing a totally different character. I am a Sardar in the show. Trying something new and exploring different arenas in acting is exciting and I am loving it. Wearing the turban is itself an honour. However, wearing it and shooting for 13 hours is not easy but the excitement is so much that I am overlooking these small troubles.”
Mahir says that he is exactly opposite to his character. “My character Rajeev is like Lord Ram. He is a happy, content, polite and pure person. This character is very close to me and I hope I do justice to it. Rajveer and I have totally different personalities. Rajveer likes to talk less and I am the opposite of that. Rajveer is very calm and composed. Mahir is a person who is very moody. Playing a different character from my personality is a task but equally quite a fun,” shares the actor.
On an endnote, Mahir hopes that viewers accept the show and support it. “Meher and Sarab have a loyal fan following. Post leap news, the fans were disappointed. However, I am sure when they watch the show and see how we are trying to do justice with the show, they would love it. I hope they accept us and shower equal love and support,” ends Mahir.
