Stepping into the spotlight as a lead face is a major milestone. How has life changed for you since taking on the role of Sangam?
Honestly, it does not feel too different! The only major change is that my Instagram is public now; I get a lot of DMs from people loving the show, and seeing fans make edits makes me feel elated. Otherwise, life hasn’t changed much on a day-to-day basis. I try to stay grounded and focus on the work—on set, I’m just Sangam. Right now, my life is strictly set-to-home and home-to-set. Having a structured schedule and routine is new for me, but my main focus is simply performance and making Sangam relatable to the audience.
Pravisht and I became great friends in quick time. We have fun on set—fights, pranks, bets, and a lot of learning, as he’s quite an experienced actor.
In what ways do you personally connect with Sangam, and what part of her personality is the hardest for you to relate to?
Like me, Sangam is strong, ambitious, and independent. She stands up for herself and fights selective battles, which I really resonate with. On the flip side, the hardest thing to connect with is her overwhelming innocence. She grew up in a protected bubble as a princess, whereas my real-life bubble broke as I grew up and faced adulting. Also, the backward household environment she comes from is completely foreign to me. In my house, the priority has always been to chase our dreams and work hard for what we love, whereas Sangam isn’t even allowed to raise her voice.
The on-screen equation between Sangam and Krishna has become a major highlight for viewers. How has it been building that chemistry with Pravisht Mishra?
It happened very organically! When I first came to Mumbai, the city was completely new, and I didn’t know anyone, nor am I someone who goes out of their way to make friends. But during our outdoor shoot, the ice broke, and touchwood, Pravisht and I became great friends in quick time. We have fun on set—fights, pranks, bets, and a lot of learning, as he’s quite an experienced actor.

Our producer had a vision that we’d look good together; the writers deserve special credit for crafting such real, innocent, and sweet long conversations between Sangam and Krishna. Sangam is still unaware of Krishna’s one-sided love, which makes the dynamic really interesting to play.
With a daily prime-time slot comes continuous shooting schedules. How are you handling the audience reception and the pressure that comes with it?
The response has been really positive from family, friends, and viewers online. The set environment feels super cool and collaborative—everyone is so invested in their characters that it reminds me of my theatre days. Sure, the pressure is there when we shoot nonstop, and the schedule demands long hours, but I don’t let it weigh me down because I genuinely enjoy the process.
What is your message to the fans who are constantly cheering for Sangam?
Please keep rooting for her! Everyone on our team has worked super hard to make Sangam as raw and authentic as possible. She’s growing so much through these episodes, and her bond with the Bacchan family is only going to grow deeper from here.
Long shooting hours can be exhausting. How do you unwind and keep your energy high every day?
My morning starts with plenty of water and a cup of coffee before heading to set. I focus on high-protein meals and try to eat as healthy as possible, though I do enjoy the occasional cheat meal! Since there isn’t time for intense workouts right now, wellness routines like getting a spa massage or facial on my days off help a lot. But honestly, the best feeling after a long day is simply coming home and taking off my makeup. Music is also a big part of my routine—I have a dedicated morning playlist and love listening to Jagjit Singh to unwind.
