Having narrated several such tales that have resonated beautifully with audiences across India, Zee TV is now joining hands with Sunshine Productions after more than a decade to present viewers with an exciting new show – ‘Maitree’.
Set against the backdrop of Prayagraj, the show focuses on the exciting yet dramatic journey of Maitree and her soul sister, Nandini. The two best friends have been inseparable since their childhood, so much so that their mothers also question them as to what will they do when either of them gets married? While they are sure that nothing can break their friendship and that they will remain the best of friends even after marriage, it seems that life has its own plan for them, making everyone wonder – ulajh ke do ungliyan, chali jo barso saath… kya hua ki choote hath? Kya hua ki hue khilaaf ?
For every actor bagging a new role is exhilarating, and then they work very hard every day to give their best and 100% of themselves to entertain the viewers of the show. Recently the lead actor Namish Taneja started shooting for his role, Ashish, in the show but before that he ensured that he visits ‘Vaishno Devi’ temple as always. He is clearly a religious person and believes in visiting temples and especially ‘Vaishno Devi’ temple every time before he starts shooting for his next project to seek the blessing of Maa Sherawali for the successful launch of his show.
Namish Taneja mentioned, “I am coming back to television after more than one and a half years as I was waiting for a good role to play. I opted for this show because of my character and the storyline. After getting selected for this role and before I started shooting, my priority was to visit the ‘Vaishno Devi’ temple. For me, it is very important to seek the blessings of Maa Sherawali because I believe whatever good has happened in my life is because of her blessings. I make sure to visit the temple sometime with my family or most of the time alone to express my gratitude. So, I ensure that before starting the shoot of any project of mine, I visit Vaishno Devi Temple, it makes me feel very positive.”
While Namish Taneja really enjoyed his trip to Vaishno Devi temple, it will be interesting to watch him as Ashish who will be married to Maitree’s best friend Nandini in the show.
