Leenesh Mattoo started getting his share of name and fame in the Indian Entertainment scenario post the success of his character of Rudra Singh Oberoi from the superhit daily soap, Ishqbaaaz. However, one mus note that he made his TV debut with Star Plus’s Suhani Si Ek Ladki where his character was called Anuj Birla. He has an engineering background and as he maintains always, he never chose to be an actor but rather acting chose him. When we spoke to Leenesh and asked him about the same as to how and when things happened for him, he said and we quote,
“To be really honest, I didn’t know I will become an actor. I have an engineering background and what I certainly realized was the fact that sitting day and night in front of the laptop was not for me. My friends encouraged me to give acting a try and that’s how I started. But once I was serious about getting into acting, I never had any backup plan. If you have a plan B in life, a sense of complacency comes where you feel that if this doesn’t work out then this will. So I gave my 200% to what I wanted and luckily things happened for me.”
