I had no hopes of getting the role of Meera: Aditi Sharma

Beautiful and chirpy Aditi Sharma always dreamt of becoming an actress. The newbie from Delhi completed her studies and came to the city of dreams, Mumbai with passion and hopes wanting to make it big in the TV industry.

In a candid chat with, Aditi aka Meera speaks about her new show Kaleerein on Zee TV and character.

Firstly, tell us how did you bag this show? “I auditioned for the show and they asked me to come down to Mumbai. Later, I went back to Delhi and was waiting for their reply. They called me 3-4 times to Mumbai but nothing was materialized till then. I had no hopes of getting this show but to my surprise, I got a call from the team saying that I was selected for the role of Meera. I was jumping in joy. They called me to Mumbai but unfortunately, I was suffering from dengue. I recovered and came to Mumbai for my show.”

She further adds, “I always wanted to be an actor. I pursued journalism so that I could be a reporter and be onscreen, but destiny had some great plans for me. My entire family has been mesmerized by this industry and I am the first one to step into it. It has been possible only because of my family; they have been supporting me completely. They have even shifted base to be with me. I don’t think I could have asked for more. My nani is very happy and she wanted to become an actress. When she saw me on-screen for the first time, there were tears in all our eyes. My family is my backbone. They are really proud of me. I am blessed to be a part of this industry”

Aditi feels that she is quite similar to her character Meera in real life, Aditi answers, “Just like Meera, I am also bubbly, chirpy and honest. I love my family and always believe in standing for the right.”

When asked was she aware about her co-star Arjit Taneja, she says, “I knew that Arjit is a popular actor and was part of Kumkum Bhagya because my mom used to watch the show. He is a sweet person.”
