Jhanak, in its new phase, has provided big drama. What do you have to say?
Yes, the new phase in Jhanak changes the whole trajectory of the relationships, and the triangle is back. I am excited to play this one, as it contains a lot of layers in Aditi, wherein Aditi loves Rishi even after all this.
Aditi, as per the script, believes that Rishi did not marry Jhanak completely. She believes that Jhanak is not a good energy around Rishi. She also believes that her divorce has not fully happened.
How will you define Aditi as a person now?
Aditi’s character is a little tough now. She has taken a U-turn now; she was on a rebound. She was trying to get attached to Koushik as she had to move on from Rishi. But she realised that she can’t love anyone other than Rishi. Now she has taken steps which look wrong, but she is determined to take her own stand, irrespective of whether it is right or wrong.
With Rishi married, what is Aditi genuinely up to now?
Aditi, as per the script, believes that Rishi did not marry Jhanak completely. She believes that Jhanak is not a good energy around Rishi. This is the point of view she has. She also believes that her divorce has not fully happened, and with Rishi not being married to Jhanak, she has every right to Rishi as his wife. Her goal now is to get Rishi back in her life; she is ready to fight for him.
How have you enjoyed playing Aditi, who has had phases?
Honestly, Aditi has had a lot of layers and a lot of phases. Presently, the one Aditi is in is one of the complex phases in her life. She tries to move on from the person she loved, but comes back to his life as his life is in danger. No other logic works in the situation she is in; what only matters is that Aditi loves Rishi and she wants him safe. Yes, Aditi has had a lot of layers, and I am enjoying it.
With Rishi losing memory, what can viewers expect now?
With Rishi losing memory, from Aditi’s point of view, she will give her 100 per cent to get her love. She will put in every effort to save her relationship and not allow a third person to come in between them. The audience will see a lot of love coming from Aditi towards Rishi.
What is your personal take on the love triangle in the show?
In the show, it is always a situation where one wins and the other loses when a love triangle is played out. Rishi loves Jhanak, Jhanak loves Rishi, Aditi loves Rishi, and now, Rishi loves Aditi. Yes, this is a fight for love, when you see from the point of view of Jhanak as well as from Aditi’s viewpoint. This triangle keeps the drama going. Somewhere down the line, all three characters are right in their own way. So keep watching Jhanak.
