Shweta Tiwari is a Hindi film and television actress from India. Born on October 4, 1980, she is most known for her role as Prerna Sharma Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s soap opera Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001–08), but she has also appeared in Parvarrish (2011–13), Begusarai as Bindiya Thakur (2015–16), and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan (2019–20).
In 1999, Tiwari made her television debut on Doordarshan. Her first television show was Kaleerein, an afternoon soap that aired on DD National, which was then known as DD-1. Then came Ane Wala Pal, a Doordarshan programme that broadcast on the now-defunct DD-Metro network in 2000. She went on to star in the television series Kaahin Kissii Roz before playing Prerna in Kasautii Zindagi Kay, which ran from 2001 to 2008.
Bigg Boss is a reality television show. She was named the season’s winner on January 8, 2011, making history as the first woman to win the competition. She portrayed Sweety Ahluwalia in Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi in 2013. She starred as Bindiya Rani in the &TV serial Begusarai in 2015.
The actor never failed to impress the fashion police with her unorthodox selections, which ranged from dresses and gowns to traditional clothes. While she dresses up fabulous, she wears red lipstick which makes her stand out.
