Actor Harshit Joshi, who portrays Sid Dasgupta in Star Plus‘ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, recently opened up about sharing screen space with veteran actor Suvarna Jha, who plays his on-screen adoptive mother, Trupti.

Widely remembered as one of Indian television’s most iconic negative leads, Suvarna made her screen comeback with the show after an 18-year hiatus. Reflecting on their dynamic, Harshit spoke candidly about her off-screen warmth and the invaluable mentorship she provides on set. “She is an incredibly warm and helpful person,” Harshit shared. “Whenever I make small technical errors or minor mistakes in my performance—things only an experienced actor would spot—she steps in to guide me through every little detail.”

Highlighting her seamless transition back to acting, Harshit noted the depth of her experience. “Experience truly matters. Even after an 18-year break, she picked things right back up with complete confidence. Having that kind of veteran background makes a huge difference.”

Addressing the contrast between her famous villainous role and her real-life persona, he added, “People may have loved to hate her character years ago, but off-camera, she couldn’t be sweeter. We’ve built a wonderful bond. She constantly gives me tips that help me improve my craft.”

According to Harshit, her guidance covers every aspect of filming—from subtle performance nuances down to quick set technicalities and styling adjustments. Expressing his gratitude, he concluded, “She’s always there to correct my mistakes and help me grow. I’m truly thankful for how welcoming and supportive she has been.”
