Nikki Sharma talks about her new show Brahmarakshas 2

Pearl V Puri is a supportive co-star: Brahmarakshas 2 lead Nikki Sharma

Zee TV is set to launch the second season of its immensely successful show, Brahmarakshas. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, the show depicts the journey of an ordinary young girl, Kalindi, whose destiny gets entwined with the evil forces and a drastic quirk of fate has her drawing all her inner strength to combat the evil Brahmarakshas. While the latter garners its strength from kidnapping brides on the day of their wedding and casting a dark spell over the town, Kalindi’s only source of strength is her love for her partner, Angad (played by Pearl V Puri).

Young and beautiful actress Nikki Sharma will be seen essaying the strong-willed character of Kalindi, in the show. She says, “I am extremely excited to be a part of the show. I have been in the industry for some time now, however, this is my first show as a lead. Now, I am ready to take on the responsibility on the shoulder of leading the show. I do believe it is a big responsibility too. When I got the offer I had other plans but it was Balaji and Zee TV so I immediately agreed to do it.”

Do you have any pressure as you are doing a sequel to a hit show? “I do believe season 1 was super hit, I myself watched the show, having said that there is pressure but not much. I would want audiences to love season 2 like season 1. I hope audiences love our story and support and love us the same way. I really connect with the character so I believe I will be able to pull it off.”

Nikki feels Pearl V Puri is a supportive co-star. “Pearl is a nice human being. He is a supportive co-star. When we were shooting for the promo, I was nervous but he made me comfortable. His vibes are positive and I feel comfortable shooting with him,” shares the actress.

When asked if she believes in supernatural powers, she mentions, “I have never experienced such thing so can’t say much about it. I don’t watch horror stuff as I get scared. I haven’t being pranked as of now, however, I know it will happen soon and I am looking forward to it.”

On an end note, Nikki says, “I know fans will draw a comparison with season 1 and be upset. However, I also know that there are people who will give us a chance to showcase our story. I am sure they would love the show. Instead of trolls, I have been receiving a lot of love and appreciation.”

Good luck Nikki!
