Actor Harsh Nagar, who originally joined Dangal TV’s Pati Brahmachari in March 2026 as the negative lead, is all set to make a grand comeback to the daily soap. Entering as a key player in a love triangle, Harsh portrayed Akash Singh—an IPS officer who gets married to the female lead before his character’s exit following the reveal of his atrocities. However, immense fan demand and engaging storytelling have prompted the makers to write him back into the narrative.
Talking about how the strong audience connection brought him back to the show, Harsh shares that villains can evolve and credits fan love for his unexpected return. “People should hate me for all the reasons. When an actor is called back to a show even when he is not the lead, it can only and only happen because the audience loves you, and they write you in again. In TV shows, villains can change over time. My character was for a limited time, and I exited as soon as the leads got to know that my character committed atrocities in their lives. I was not even in the city when they called me back. I am happy that the character was engaging, to the extent that I got fan mail asking whether Akash will be back.”
It’s always nicer to come back to repeat your wins as opposed to come back searching for success.
Reflecting on the sudden call for his comeback after already prepping his physical appearance for a new chapter, Harsh calls the plot twist an exciting validation. “It was a huge task for the writers who had already written my exit. Now, after a jail term, here is Akash back. The show is already a hit—it gets an average of 20 million views every 24 hours for each episode. I had a daughter in the show, and that is the story with which I have been brought back. It was totally unexpected. I even shaved my moustache, which I had for the role. I had trimmed it off, and after one month, I got a call for a comeback. It is exciting. I think I would be lying if I said that it is not an ego boost for me.”
Opening up about the upcoming shift in character dynamics, Harsh reveals that Akash will return stripped of his former power as an IPS officer, placing him on a different footing with the lead. “Earlier, I had the power of an IPS officer and used to misuse my title. But now I don’t have it. Interestingly, life comes full circle. Today, the female lead is in the same position, and my character is a normal civilian. It is exciting to get back to shooting. There is a significant change in his behaviour after his jail term and without owning his power.”
Expressing heartfelt appreciation for the viewers who championed his return, Harsh concludes that coming back to a proven success feels deeply rewarding. “My comeback has happened only due to the genuine love of my fans. I thank them for it. Akash is loved so much for all his badness. It’s always nicer to come back to repeat your wins as opposed to come back searching for success.”
