Manish Wadhwa talks about his role of Raavan in &TV show Kahat Hanuman… Jai Shri Ram.

Playing Raavan this time around is very different and unique: Manish Wadhwa

Manish Wadhwa the versatile actor will yet again don the role of Raavan in Kahat Hanuman… Jai Shri Ram the &TV show produced by Peninsula Pictures. He had earlier played the role to elan in Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev.

Says Manish, “This time around, playing Raavan is very different and unique. He will be shown in 10 different getups. Raavan as you know is called Dashanan, as he has 10 heads. The story in Kahat Hanuman… Jai Shri Ram will focus on the 10 different personalities of Raavan. This is one territory which has not been explored on Indian TV and films. He was a musician, magician, a Brahmin, artist, tantric, a beast etc.”

Talking about the challenge playing these roles, Manish avers, “It is a challenge as every person has his own personality. As a Brahmin, he is fluent in Sanskrit. Raavan is very composed and is a blend of all personalities. A musician will have different traits and the same is with a magician. The way of walking, talking as well as the attire differs from one character to another. I am enjoying playing this role which has a lot of variety to it. Also, the behavioral changes in them like anger, lust, viciousness etc have to be portrayed with perfection. I am hoping that viewers like this role of mine.”
