Pallavi Rao the talented actress has proved her versatility in every challenging role that she has donned. Presently, Pallavi is giving a stunning performance in the role of Prafulla Mami in Star Plus’ Pandya Store.

Her onscreen chemistry with the character of Shiva, played by Kanwar Dhillon wins a lot of praise. “My relationship with Kanwar and Alice is very cordial. Kanwar is a good actor; we understand our scenes very well and try to shoot them with perfection. From the very first day, my bonding with the small Shiva too has been very good. There is love-hate chemistry between Mami and Shiva that has a tinge of enmity in it. When the leap happened, Kanwar managed to extract the best of chemistry. Things are really good as far as work is concerned. When good performers work together, the scene gets shot really well.”

Talking about her character in Pandya Store, Pallavi explains, “Prafulla Mami from the very beginning, has variations in her character. She has an anger-filled rapport with Shiva, she has a different angle of a fight with her husband. She is concerned about Anita and Raavi. The graph if you have followed of Prafulla, is of a mixed bag. She is a mixture of every emotion and all expressions. I think this is one of my best roles ever, wherein every scene has different emotions attached to the character. I simply love Prafulla (smiles). She is stubborn, wild, ruthless, wicked, and emotional also.”

Pallavi loved the Kangan drama wherein Kanwar literally lifted Pallavi up for a dramatic sequence. “When I read the script, I was shocked to know that Kanwar had to lift me for the scene. The walk itself was tiring for Kanwar Dhillon. I was scared for Kanwar, but he did it very beautifully and carefully. Both of us had to be very careful. Our production team was also very careful in shooting this sequence. The emotions and lines involved in the scene were so very tough. But automatically, we both were in the mood to say our dialogues with all the emotions needed. The whole process of shooting this sequence went on for two days. All of us enjoyed the sequence even when we were all shooting under the sun. But when you are doing some good work, nothing can hamper the scenes. We wanted that the best of me and Kanwar came out of the scene. It was a partnership game, and I feel it came out well (smiles)”

Before signing off, Pallavi expresses her utmost satisfaction playing the character. “I am thoroughly satisfied playing Prafulla Mami. The journey started very beautifully and has graduated so very well with time. She is always connected to the big drama in the show. I had done a negative character in Kulfi Kumar Bajewala too. But she was totally negative out there. But in Pandya Store, there are a lot of emotions attached to the character. I am happy that as an actor, I get to show different shades of emotions. I am very glad that Star Plus and Sphere Origins gave me this opportunity. It gives me immense pleasure to be part of such amazing scenes. I always want to keep the trust factor alive that channels and makers show in me.”

Best of luck!!
