Ram Navami is a festival that fosters a sense of peace and calmness, reminding people of the teachings of Lord Ram. Celebrated as his birth anniversary, the day is observed with prayers, lighting diyas, fasting, and reading of the Ramayana, creating a calm and devotional atmosphere in many households.

On this special occasion, actress Mohak Matkar, who plays the titular role in Zee TV‘s Saru, opened up about her personal connection with the festival and how it brings her closer to her roots and family traditions.

She shared, “Ram Navami holds a very serene and peaceful place in my heart. Growing up, I was always captivated by the stories of Lord Ram, his simplicity, courage, and determination.”

Talking about the routine she follows on the special day, she stated, “On this day, I like to start the morning with prayer and lighting a small lamp at home. I spend time with my family, share anecdotes from our childhood, and sometimes we even sing bhajans together. These small rituals bring a sense of calm and connection that lasts throughout the year. To me, this day is not only about faith, but also about grounding myself, reflecting on my actions, and embracing life’s challenges with patience and positivity. It’s a reminder that no matter what happens, inner balance and family support can carry you through anything. Jai Shree Ram!”
