From reality television to a law degree and entrepreneurship, Shambhavi Sharma’s career is shaped by her experiences. She was in Australia for some time, and now that she is back in her homeland, she is full of gratitude and is looking forward to what lies ahead.
Talking about her life from Roadies Season 5 to now, she said, “If I had to describe the journey in one sentence, I’d say that I went from being known as a reality-show contestant to building an identity across completely different professional worlds. Roadies was an important beginning, but it wasn’t the entirety of my story.”
“I’ve explored different aspects of the entertainment industry, including my work as an MTV VJ on G Talk, and I’ve pursued other creative opportunities as well. At the same time, I’ve built a career in law and developed my own business interests in India and Australia,” she added.
She mentioned that the biggest transformation, however, has been personal. She said, “I’ve become much more mature and resilient. When you’re younger, you may have confidence and strong opinions, but experience teaches you how to navigate the consequences of your decisions, handle setbacks, and keep going when things don’t happen according to plan.”
“Living in Australia was an important part of that journey. It was a tough experience, but I eventually built my life there and made it work. That period taught me a lot about independence, perseverance, and my own ability to adapt. Today, I feel proud that I’ve built a life beyond the identity people first knew me for. I’m a lawyer, a businesswoman, and someone who has continued to evolve rather than stay confined to one profession,” she added.
And now that she is returning to Roadies Rebirth, she is excited to reconnect with a part of her past. She said, “I’m not trying to become the Shambhavi I was years ago. I’m bringing the woman I’ve become into a space that was once a very important part of my life. I’m in a happy place, and I feel I have a lot more to offer now, both professionally and personally.”
Asked about the move back to India, she said, “India has always been home for me. But Australia remains an important part of my life because I have businesses there that need my attention. So, my life involves travelling between two countries, spending periods of time in each and making sure that my responsibilities in both places are taken care of.”
“For me, the balance comes from understanding what needs my attention at a particular time. India is home, Australia is an important professional commitment, and I want to make both work without limiting what I can do next,” she ended.
