Fashion model and actor Uditi Singh has stepped into the high-octane Bigg Boss 20 house, making it clear that she is bringing zero baggage or preconceived notions. Her approach centres on authenticity rather than calculated moves. “My main strategy is to be myself and play a good game. I enter the house with an open mind. In real life also, I am very selective about my friends and the people I hang around with.”
A long-time follower of the reality show, Uditi fondly recalls watching Season 7 and admiring former winner Gauahar Khan. However, she believes former players should leave room for fresh talent.”I used to watch Season 7 very religiously; my favourite contestant was Gauahar Khan. I really like her. But as for ex-contestants being brought back—I don’t want any old contestants to come again. I wouldn’t want anyone to return, even though I had my favourites. People have already seen them, and since it is a new season, new faces need to get the opportunity.”
Known for her discipline, Uditi highlights her fiercely competitive spirit when it comes to physical and mental tasks, pledging to push through unless halted by physical limits. “When playing a task, I am a very competitive person, and I don’t give up easily. Unless I have an injury where I am forced to stop, I will make sure that I complete my task every single time.”
Navigating the eviction process is notoriously difficult, but Uditi is clear that survival in the game comes first, even if it means making tough emotional calls. “Nominations will be a difficult choice for me, but I am here to play the game, so I will think about myself first. Even with a heavy heart, I might nominate a player that I like.”
While comfortable conversing with everyone, Uditi admits to taking her time before letting housemates into her core trust circle. She also reveals her biggest fear regarding the viewing audience. “Being misunderstood by the audience would trouble me the most. When it comes to friendships, I take a lot of time to trust people before letting them inside my inner circle. That said, I am easy to talk to, but if someone is truly my friend, it has to be a special bond.”
Uditi shuts down any possibility of looking for love on camera. “Romance is definitely the last thing on my mind. I am not at all open to finding a connection inside the house.”
Rather than letting issues simmer behind people’s backs, Uditi plans to address conflict head-on: “If I have any botheration with anyone, I would rather speak directly to them about it. I will confront them face-to-face.”
Acknowledging host Salman Khan’s decades of experience, Uditi views his feedback as an essential guide for self-improvement. “Salman Khan Sir’s questions and feedback will be vital for me because they come with immense knowledge and experience. I will implement his advice, understand it, and change my game accordingly. I will definitely listen to him and want to course-correct if I am genuinely going wrong.”
Describing her core personality, Uditi emphasises that her gentle demeanour should not be mistaken for weakness. “The audience will realise that I am very straightforward. I might look sweet, but I make sure to stand my ground and put my point across. I am a strong and honest person.”
Beyond the games and arguments, Uditi foresees her greatest challenge occurring far away from the cameras. “My biggest challenge will be staying away from my family and my pet, Laila. That is going to be really tough for me.”
Ultimately, Uditi hopes her stint on Bigg Boss 20 is remembered for both her game performance and her genuine self. “I want to be remembered for a mix of my game and my personality. I want people to recall both how well I played inside the house and who I truly am.”
