It was a wonderful occasion yesterday, 1 November for the cast of the iconic show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The show which aired for two seasons created iconic characters who became household names. And the actors who were part of the cast of this Hats Off Productions show are even today known for their wonderful display in the show. Yesterday, the show completed 19 glorious years, and the cast combined for a great party and fabulous ambience. Starring an ensemble cast of Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly, and Rajesh Kumar, the show revolved around a quintessential upper-class family living in the upmarket neighbourhood of Cuffe Parade in South Mumbai. The series was produced by Hats Off Productions. Regarded as being ahead of its generation in terms of its concept, writing, and average viewership ratings at the time of its initial release, the show has gone on to become a cult classic.

Yesterday the actors Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly aka Anupamaa, Satish Shah, Rajesh Kumar and others joined in for a party. They put up a video where they were seen singing the title anthem of the show, which was very popular during its time.

Rupali Ganguly who is iconic today and is known as Anupamaa in the TV fraternity did not lose this opportunity of being part of a show that she is so proud of. Rupali played the role of Monisha Sarabhai in the show.

Sarabhai’s first telecast was on 1st Nov 2004 at 8PM. Co-actors to friends and friends to family Sarabhai has always been so close to my heart and today it marks its 19 years… cheers to those crazy, beautiful and amazing 19 years!
