How excited are you to be a part of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2?

I am very excited and there is more than one reason for that. Of course, the show has been a successful drama and was loved by audiences a lot so there was no way to say no. Also, I am blessed to be working with an amazing ensemble cast. They are amazing and experienced actors. Kokila aka Rupal ma’am is a viral face now, she has been around for a long time in the industry so there are a lot of things to learn from her. I am also working with Rashmi Sharma Productions, which is a big opportunity.

Do you have any pressure as you are doing a sequel to a hit show?

Initially, there were thoughts like ‘oh it’s a number 1 channel and the show had a successful season previously’. Having said that, I feel the comparison and pressure will be for a week or 10 days post that season 2 will have to stand on its own. I just want to do the genre well and bring out the best for the audiences. If we are good, people will like the show. I would rather have more pressure to do a sequel than not knowing how people will react to a new story.

Why should audiences watch Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2?

Well, I think there is a lot of drama in the show. I think in lockdown when there were re-runs of the show, Saathiya had good TRPs. This show is different from others as it has more drama in it. The more dramatic factor is what people will like to see.

How is your rapport with your co-actors?

I am fortunate that I have had an amazing cast in my previous show and this one as well. I have had a mix of seniors and juniors on my set. I am happier when there are more people on sets as I get to learn a lot from them. I get to hear some fun interesting stories of their career and lives and I share mine too. It is fun to be on set and working with the happy cast.

Are you scared of shooting during the COVID-19 pandemic?

I am not really scared now. Earlier there were many things running in my mind. Now, people have adopted a new normal so it feels safe on set as there are proper guidelines that we follow. Now, the fear is much lesser.

Have you learnt any lesson during this phase?

I have learnt to be self-dependent and valued the staff. I have valued the importance of household chores. I have realized that this kind of work also takes a lot of hard work.

Any final message?

I would just like to say that shower us with your love and support. We are sure audiences will like our show.
